The Island
At the western end of the island resides a $30 million Marine Aquaculture Center. Tropical Marine Science Institute is also situated on the island. Large number of land hermit crabs, and sea cucumbers are found on the shores. Sholes of colorful fish can be seen swimming in the sea water. White-bellied sea eagles can be seen flying along the coastal areas. The island also has small patches of mangrove vegetation.
Beautiful sea and greenery of St John's island can easily attract anyone. The place is very good for camps and picnics. Plethora of enjoyable activities can be organised here. Catching baby crabs in the shallow can be simply exciting. One can indulge in pure fun in St. John's island. Few barbeque pits and camping grounds provide necessary amenities. For quite sojourn away from the bustling mainland, St John island is a nice place.
How To Reach
Ferries are available from Sentosa and Kusu Islands. This island is situated at short distance from southern Sentosa.
