Thanks to its unique location,
Singapore has become a major centre for trade and tourism in Asia.
Geographical location of the country is 96km north of the equator, between
longitude 103 degrees 36' East and 104 degrees 25' East. It is in
Southeastern Asia, made up of islands between Malaysia and Indonesia.
The country has hot, humid, rainy climate. It is a heavily urbanised city
country, and amazingly it has also earned for itself the tag of green city.
Most part of Singapore is no more than 15 meters above sea level. Bukit
Timah is the highest point of Singapore, with a height of 164 m.
