The Museum
Rich multi-ethnic heritage of Singapore has been shown in very intriguing style in the museum. Thematic displays of Chinese and Pernakan culture are arresting in particular. The Pernakan culture is the matchless blend of Chinese, Malay and European cultural influences. The museum displays 1300 plus artefacts housed in 10 themed galleries. It makes clear how the origins, ideas, identities and artistic styles of cosmopolitan societies in various parts of Asia got affected by the dynamic forces.
Free guide tours in English and Japanese languages are available.
The Buildings
