Galleries
Singapore Air Force museum has been segregated in several galleries, all hosting memorabilia related to air force. The outdoor gallery has various aircrafts on display. Crafts here include BAC 167 Strikemaster, Cessna 172K, T-33 Shooting Star Trainers and Hawker Hunter. Acquisitions like A4-S Skyhawk, UH-1B Helicopter as well as aircraft armaments and engines can also be seen here.
In Gallery One one is introduced to air force history. Several models of past and aircrafts and equipments are displayed. Galley Two makes you aware of the role the air force has played in defence of Singapore. Gallery Three lays stress on the development of the inventory and facilities. Gallery Four brings forward the shift in approach for Singpore defence. It highlights the change from acquisition and initial development phase to the upgrading phase.
Gallery Five puts before us the milestones in the progress of the air force. Gallery Six highlights the bringing together of various air force units to create highly capable air defense of Singapore. Gallery Seven projects the air force as an advanced fleet, which can operate both locally and overseas. Gallery Eight bring before us vision of the air force as well as bilateral exercises with foreign countries. History of Aviation Gallery tells how art of aviation progressed since the first flight in the 1900's.
How To Reach
Reach Eunos MRT Station and then take bus. One can also board a bus from Toa Payoh bus interchange. One can tour the museum in approximate one hour.
